Position Overview:  Provides necessary definition, development and deployment of product quality assurance strategy, addressing all phases of product development.  Directly supervises quality assurance team, quality assurance engineers and testers, including the preparation and delivery of staff performance evaluations and career development activities.f  Manages department and overall expectations pertaining to setting accurate schedules, costs and resources.  Ensures delivery against QA department goals and objectives, i.e. Meeting commitments and coordinating overall quality assurance schedule. Responsibilities:  Establish policy for end user experience on all software products.  Establish and maintain policy for documentation of all products. Reviews documentation before is sent out to customers and stakeholders.  Implements ongoing quality improvement processes working with interdepartmental teams.  Maintains product consistency throughout product cycle, to include the design, define and build phases through quality checkpoints and testing.  Develop and manage quality assurance metrics for performance improvement of all teams.  Manages and responds to software quality assurance issues with related groups such as development, database, integration, and customer support.  Anticipates program release problems and takes corrective action, escalating as needed, to resolve and achieve commitments.  Assures the viability, functionality and effectiveness of essential tools.  Responsible of creating task and checklists for software deployment.  Orchestrates the delivery of software to customer visible environments.  Provides effective communication regarding issues, objectives, initiatives and performance to plan.  Manages the planning and execution of product testing efforts, including all associated resources to meet committed delivery dates.  Responsible and accountable of flagging the timing of interdepartmental deliverables and the quality of their output.  Works with project managers to develop project schedules and resource allocation models for QA related projects and other activities such as software deployment, customer integration, and professional services validation.  Works with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external Contractors.  Ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation. Technical Skills:  Minimum 3 years experience in developing Quality Assurance and Quality Control Plans, Process and Product Quality Procedures, Quality Audit, Testing Functions, Test Plans and Test Cases.  4 years of experience in 2-tier and n-tier Client/Server Application Development Environment.  Proven Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and tools, statistical methodologies.  Deep knowledge in the regulatory requirements related privacy, confidentiality and security of the patient healthcare and clinical data (e.g. HIPAA) is a must.  Very Strong understanding of Quality Standards like Six Sigma, CMMI, ISO, etc.  Proven working experience with Design of Experiments (DOE).  Proven Knowledge in Quality Management Systems in Software Development Industry.  Minimum 3 years experience in developing, monitoring and controlling quality standards for large software development teams, application migration teams, and database administration teams.  Very strong knowledge and experience in Rational Unified Process (RUP) is a must.  Minimum 3 years experience in Agile Software Development Processes and methodologies like SCRUM, KANBAN. Education & Work Experience:  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Related Fields / Higher Diploma + 4 years experience  3 years prior experience in Quality Assurance for consumer software product manufacturers.  3 years working experience in healthcare domain.
